About the performers
Dazzling Russian coloratura soprano Albina Shagimuratova is the winner of Gold Medal in the 2007 Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. She is a graduate of the Houston Grand Opera Studio and appeared at Houston Grand Opera, Bolshoi Theatre, Metropolitan Opera, Teatro alla Scala Milan and other famous opera theaters of the world.
Semion Skigin won Grand-prix at the International Competition of Piano Accompaniment in Rio de Janeiro in 1975. He is the Artistic Director of the Theatre Barge Music Festival in Dresden and Artistic Director of the Berlin Salon. Nowadays Semion Skigin is regarded as one of the most acknowledged and engaged masters of piano accompaniment.
