Lyudmila Babaeva is well known to the friends of RCC. Her lacquer miniature boxes have been presented at our center’s CaviArt gallery in 2009 during an exhibition “Women’s fairytale”. The beautiful icons on papier-mache and wood and unique jewelry by Lyudmila are permanently displayed at our Center.
Lyudmila Babaeva finished the Kholui Art School in 1976 and has been employed by the Kholui lacquer miniature factory since 1977. She is a member of the Artists’ Union of Russia. Her work – lovely and delicate has been exhibited in various galleries and museums since 1988.
Lyudmila Babaeva conducted the first master class dedicated to the art of lacquer miniature boxes in 2009. It was a great success which encourages us to do it again.
