The musical events  dedicated to Dmitry Shostakovich has been a good tradition at Russian Cultural Center. We continue to introduce the works of the great Russian composer to our audience.

Duet of incredible musicians, Vagram Saradjian and Tatiana Gerasimova  is well-known in Houston. They appeared at RCC on various occasions and their performances has been acclaimed by the public.

Wine will be served.

5th Russian Documentary Film Showcase

October 24th – 29th

The latest works of independent Russian movie makers, as well as a young Houstonian movie maker will be screened in four cities in Texas – Houston, Dallas, Austin and College Station in collaboration with five Texas universities: University of Houston, UT Arlington, SMU Dallas, UT Austin, and A&M College Station.

This year we will present the following movies:
“Harvest Time” and “The Weather Outside is Beautiful” by Marina Razhbezhkina
“Love me Please” and “Window Pane Nostalgia” by Valery Balayan
“Kamchatka: The Salmon Country” by Daniel Levine

Each movie presentation will be accompanied by a lecture and a Q/A session with our honored Moscow guests, acclaimed directors Valery Balayan, Marina Razhbezkina, and Daniel Levine from Houston.

Russian Documentary Showcase

We are happy to announce the inauguration of the Russian Documentary Showcase, an annual series of film screenings designed to bring the best in contemporary Russian documentary film to Texas audiences. In February we had a privilege of screening films of  legendary Russian-American documentary film maker, Marina Goldovskaya, as well as meeting her and co-creators of her latest film The Russian Story, Daniel Levin-co-writer and editor, and Igor Karash-animator in person.

Guest appearances and screenings took place in Austin and Houston.
