Russian School for Kids

When: Sundays and Saturdays
Ages: 2.5-8 years old
Cost: $25 group per hour

Individual lessons are possible

The groups are organized according to kids’ age and their fluency in Russian.

Beginners I: Saturday 3:00 – 4:30p.m., Monday 8:30 – 10:00p.m.
Beginners II: Tuesday 5:30 – 7:00p.m.
Intermediate: Saturday 10:00 – 11:30a.m., 12:00-1:30p.m., 1:30 – 3:00p.m., Monday 7:00 – 8:30p.m., Tuesday 8:30- 10:00p.m.
Advanced Level: Tuesday 7:00 – 8:30p.m.

No matter if you are just starting to learn Russian or want to brush up on it or even if you already speak it fluently – come and visit us at 2337 Bissonnet Houston, TX 77005. Here you will find native Russian-speaking tutors and an opportunity to dive into Russian Community’s cultural life: to attend exhibitions, film series, Russian reading circle and other events.

Russian language courses are designed to attain speaking, reading and writing proficiency in the Russian language. Core language courses feature grammar and lexical study, phonetics, contemporary Russian language, and the development of vocabulary and conversation skills.

Kundalini yoga derives its name through a focus on awakening Kundalini energy through regular practice of meditation, pranayama, chanting mantra and yoga asana.

You will need a yoga mat for the classes and comfortable sportswear. Please make a reservation in advance - the placement is limited! Classes are held in Russian and English.

Qi Gong

Cost: $40 for 4 classes ( $10 per class) or $15 - individual class
When: Tuesdays (7:30p.m. – 8:30p.m.)

Qigong is an ancient Chinese health care system that integrates physical postures, breathing techniques and focused intention.

This ancient exercise is designed to energize your body and mind by releasing head, shoulder and low back tensions. It also helps restore emotional balance.

Instructor: Larisa Ermishina

  • Certified instructor of Qi Gong
  • Trained for 2 years as Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist and studied Qi Gong in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia
  • Learned from internationally recognized teachers: Mirzakarim Norbekov, Ged Summer, Lee Holden
  • Practices hand-on therapies for over 3 years in USA

Photography Class

Cost: $30 for group or $50 - individual class
When: Thursdays at 7:00p.m. and Saturdays at 2:00p.m.

  • Classes for all levels;
  • Digital and analog photography;
  • All genres: street, portrait, landscape and social photography;
  • Plein-air classes at the little-known places of Houston and Galveston.

Instructor: well known Houston photographer Vladimir Frumin, continuous partcipant at the FOTOFEST, winner of Carol Craw Fellowship Award ( 2015) and Sony Photography Award nominee. The photos by Vladimir has been exhibited multiple times and published in the prestigious magazines Black and White and Easy Rider.

Duration: 1.5 hour

Group and Private Classes are available.
