DESCRIPTION:Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 6:00 pm | Tickets\nCultural Center – Our Texas | 2337 Bissonnet Houston, TX 77005 | 713.395.3301\n\nThe Cultural Center “Our Texas” proudly presents “Georgian Evening,” an enchanting concert dedicated to the rich musical heritage of Georgia.\nТhis extraordinary evening will feature renowned pianist Vakhtang Zaalishvili and celebrated mezzo-soprano Sophio Dzidziguri, promising an unforgettable experience of Georgian classics.\nVakhtang Zaalishvili is a distinguished collaborative pianist/opera coach, and educator, currently pursuing a graduate degree in Opera Coaching at the University of Texas at Austin’s Butler School of Music. His extensive training includes studies at the Tbilisi Central Music School and a Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts from the Tbilisi State Conservatoire. He further refined his skills through an opera coaching traineeship at the Conservatorio Arrigo Boito in Parma, Italy. Zaalishvili has been recognized in international piano competitions and has contributed as an accompanist, opera coach, and music instructor in Georgia and the US.\nSophio Dzidziguri is a rising Georgian mezzo-soprano celebrated for her rich, expressive voice and impressive operatic repertoire. A graduate of the Vano Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire, she is currently completing her Master’s in Opera Performance at the Butler School of Music. Recently, she won the 2025 Concerto Competition. In 2025, she will grace the stage in productions such as The Ghost of Versailles (Samira) and Le Nozze di Figaro (Cherubino) at the McCullough Theatre in Austin, Texas.\nJoin us for a mesmerizing evening of Georgian music, where tradition meets contemporary interpretation through the artistry of these exceptional musicians.\nSponsor:\n\n
