Robert Bunch Concert Series with this rare evening of musical brilliance with “Scriabiniade: An Evening with Scriabin”, performed by the renowned pianist Dr. James Palmer.\nThis solo piano recital is a unique opportunity for Houston audiences to experience the colorful world of Alexander Scriabin, the visionary Russian composer whose music pushed the boundaries of harmony and emotion. His recent engagements include performances at the Banff Centre, upcoming solo appearances in Philadelphia and Los Angeles, and his ongoing role as a Young Artist with Da Camera of Houston. Palmer is not only a gifted interpreter of Scriabin’s music but also a scholar and advocate: he serves as Secretary for the Scriabin Society of America and co-organized and gave a lecture-recital at the Scriabin 150 Festival. He currently teaches at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music, where he recently earned his Doctor of Musical Arts degree.\n
