Maksim is a well-known local artist who chose watercolors as his primary medium for the “Houston in Watercolors” exhibition. He is an acclaimed architectural illustrator, and most of the artworks presented at the exhibition are illustrations of downtown Houston and other Houstonian architectural landscapes and city moments.\nMaksim about his favorite drawing technique: “While working with leading architecture and design firms such as Gensler and Rottet Studio, hand sketching and quick renderings were always my tools of choice for presenting ideas and conveying design intent”\nMaksim Koloskov has lived in Houston since 1995. He is a graduate of the famous Moscow Architectural Institute and works in the architectural design company Rottet Studio. In 2015 Maksim created beautiful murals on the exterior walls of the Cultural Center “Our Texas”.\nKoloskov’s illustrations won a number of awards, including The American Society of Architectural Illustrators (ASAI) juried competitions and Architectural Record’s “Cocktail Napkin Sketch” contest.
