Tickets – $20.00\nChopin beyond the Piano: Cello Masterpieces concert is presented to you by two incredible musicians – cellist Hasmik Vardanyan and Xuefei Liu, pianist.\nThe program includes masterpieces by Frédéric Chopin:\nPolonaise Brilliante in C major, Op. 3\nSonata for Cello and Piano in G minor, Op. 65\nNocturne Op. 9, No. 2 (arr. for cello and piano)\nChopin Beyond the Piano: Cello masterpieces | December 15 | 7:30 pm | Tickets $20\nAbout the musicians:\nHasmik Vardanyan, an Armenian cellist, has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in major concert halls such as Carnegie Hall, the Paris Opera House, Tchaikovsky Music Hall in Moscow, Berlin Opera House, St. John Smith Square in London and the Munetsugu Hall in Japan. Mrs. Vardanyan is a top prizewinner in many national and international competitions. Mrs. Vardanyan completed a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Houston University.\nXuefei Liu, a pianist and a native of China, has performed solo recitals and chamber music concerts in China, France, the USA, and Italy. Xuefei is the top prize winner in multiple international competitions. In the 2022-23 season, Xuefei joined Houston Grand Opera’s Opera to Go! Production as Touring Pianist, performing across the greater Houston area.
