The program features some of Rachmaninoff’s most famous pieces, including several Preludes and Piano Sonata No. 2 Op. 36 in B-flat minor (1913–1st version).\nOsip Nikiforov is a distinguished pianist who has won numerous awards in national and international competitions. He studied under the tutelage of the world-renowned pianist Yefim Bronfman at Manhattan School of Music.Currently, he is a Malcolm W. Perkins Teaching Fellow in the Doctor of Musical Arts program at Rice University, studying with Jon Kimura Parker\nJon Kimura Parker, piano virtuoso and Professor of Piano at The Shepherd School of Music, Rice University in Houston,  will talk about Rachamninoff and his musical legacy.\nThe concert at the Cultural Center “Our Texas” promises to be a memorable experience for lovers of classical music.
