Call for Artists—Mural Project at Cultural Center – Our Texas
Cultural Center–Our Texas is seeking artists to participate in a new collaborate mural project. This mural will be displayed on the three walls of our building at 2337 Bissonnet St. and will celebrate creativity, cultural diversity, and community spirit. Basic paints and brushes will be provided. Artists are welcome to bring their own supplies.
Your art will be located within circular frames integrated into the existing murals. The painting activity will happen during the live event that will take place November 9, 2025 at 12 pm.
The mural should reflect values of peace, unity, and cultural exchange. Artists are encouraged to depict any theme meaningful to them, allowing the mural to authentically represent the experiences, dreams, and perspectives of Houston’s diverse population. While specific topics remain open, works containing violent, graphic, or offensive content will not be considered. As the space for the murals is limited, the process of selection of participating artists will be competitive.
