Art Exhibition “Life in Color”

Art Exhibition – Life in Color. Russian Cultural Center – Our Texas present colorful and vibrant artworks by two Houston artists: stained-glass painting by Tatsiana Saleh and acrylic paintings by Zlata Iakubsfeld.

Opening Reception and meeting with the artists:
Friday, January 17, 7:30 p.m.

Tatsiana Saleh is from Minsk, Belarus. Tatiana is an art teacher, specializing in art and craft. She uses silk, acrylic, and oil painting techniques. Also, she started working on stained glass in 2013. Her artworks have been exhibited in numerous galleries in the USA and Belarus. Moreover, she has private collections in the United States, Europe, Russia, and Belarus.

In 2018, Tatsiana Saleh received prizes at Texas artist’s competitions. She got first and second place for stained glass painting at Houston art society competition, and first places for acrylic painting and stained glass painting at Fort Bend Art League.

Zlata Iakubsfeld had dreamt about being an artist since she was a little girl. She became something else, a musician, a wife, and a mother. Yet, she never let go of her dream and when she finally took up the paints and the brushes, it was like meeting an old friend that one never knew. As many naive painters, she is self-taught and her strokes, proportions, and perspectives are just that – what she feels, what she sees.

Deeply sensitive to the beauty of nature, Zlata is a longtime admirer of French urban and country landscapes. During her many trips to this country, to which she is tied by family ties and by her strong appreciation of French culture and heritage, she uses her unique talent to portray their beauty.
