ART EXHIBIT “ABSTRACT REALITIES”
The Cultural Center “Our Texas” is pleased to announce the grand opening of its exclusive art exhibition, “Abstract Realities,” featuring the remarkable talents of Irene Sheytman and Saida Fagala. Set to commence on April 12th at 7:30 pm, this highly anticipated event will serve as a tribute to the distinctive artistic prowess of these two individuals, both of whom hail from Baku, Azerbaijan, and now proudly call Houston their home.
Renowned for her profound passion for urban landscapes, Irene Sheytman has devoted her artistic journey to capturing the essence of city life. Utilizing mediums such as silk and watercolor, Sheytman skillfully articulates the dynamic intricacies of urban environments, infusing her work with vibrant hues and meticulous details. Her latest collection of watercolors, inspired by her travels in Italy, promises to transport viewers to the timeless charm of old European cities, weaving narratives of historical architecture, iconic landmarks, and the streets of ancient towns.
Complementing Sheytman’s vision, Saida Fagala brings a unique perspective to the exhibition, rooted in her familial heritage steeped in artistic talent. Fagala’s artistic journey has cultivated a distinctive style that intricately intertwines mood and color across various mediums, including ceramics, pottery, watercolor, and ink. The exhibition will feature Fagala’s captivating ceramic portraits, showcasing her adept manipulation of form and color, and inviting viewers into her world of creativity and innovation.

The exhibition will offer attendees the opportunity to acquire pieces of their artwork, as all displayed pieces will be available for purchase.
Admission is free, and all are welcome to indulge in an evening celebrating artistry, culture, and creativity.
The gallery is open Monday to Friday 9:30 am – 3 pm, Saturday 9 am – 1 pm, and Sunday 10:30 am – 1 pm.
