ART EXHIBITION “LIFE WITH BRUSH & EASEL”
The opening of the highly anticipated exhibition, “Life with Brush and Easel,” featuring the remarkable works of Yri Slyusaryansky will take place on July 7, 2023, at 7:30 pm, the exhibit will be on view till August 11, 2023.
Yri Slyusaryansky, born in 1949 in Moscow, was a talented artist and architect who immigrated to the United States in 1980 and settled in New York in 1983. Throughout his life, Yri had a deep love for the USA, always emphasizing the syllable “USA” in the middle of his last name, SlyUSAryansky. He devoted his free time to painting and wood carving while working as an architect.
After relocating to New York, Yri joined a company specializing in rug design and manufacturing. As a leading designer, he created stunning rugs for private clients, corporations, and even the offices of the United States government. Notably, one of his creations adorns the main office of the State Department of the United States of America.
The “Life with Brush and Easel” exhibition will showcase the works from Yri’s Flower Period, featuring vibrant and captivating floral paintings. Additionally, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy whimsical drawings, intricately crafted wood masks, and paintings on wood inspired by Russian fairytales executed in the Palekh style.
In honor of Yri Slyusaryansky’s memory, all proceeds from the sales at this exhibition will be donated to The Belle Harbor Manor, the place where Yri spent his final years in New York.
