About the artist and the guide of Art and Wine Evenings – Tangerine Summer.
Originally from New Jersey, American artist Tangerine Summer is a painter and traveler at heart. When Tangerine was thirty-one, she traveled to Morocco with twenty-one other artists and was fascinated with the experience of another culture. She began her art education at East Carolina University, NC, and continued her studies in The Art Students League and Parsons School of Design in NY; McGrady School of Art, LA; and Glassell School of Art, TX. Since 1985, her work has been exhibited in various galleries, inclusive of solo and group exhibitions. Her extensive travels have taken her throughout South America, Europe, Asia, Mexico, and the Caribbean.
In addition to creating art, Tangerine has developed successful educational programs for elementary schools, organized painting expeditions, and organized art parties and art classes.
She has lived in various parts of the world, especially enjoying the Virgin Islands and Hawaii. When Tangerine is not painting or traveling, she spends time with her grandchildren, going to art shows, art museums, cooking healthy recipes, and envisioning her next artistic adventure.
