Art Exhibition I/Witness – a statement on the war in Ukraine
New art exhibition “I/Witness” by Yuliya Lanina is a powerful statement on the war in Ukraine. “I/Witness” will feature the works of an artist Yuliya Lanina and will be on display from April 22 – June 12, 2023.
The exhibition’s opening is on Saturday, April 22, at 7:30 pm.
All works are for sale. Part of the proceeds from sales will be donated to Ukrainian orphanages.
The “I/Witness” Exhibition combines an incredible collection of ink drawings Lanina made since the invasion of Ukraine, eye flower collages made out of her writings, and animation with sound design by Nina C. Young.
Yuliya Lanina is an accomplished artist with exhibits and performances in the US, Austria, Korea, Japan, the UK, Germany, and Russia. Her honors include Fulbright US Scholar, Headlands Art Center, Artpace, and Yaddo Fellowship. Lanina is an Assistant Professor of Practice at the Department of Arts and Entertainment Technologies at The University of Texas at Austin.
