Cultural Center “Our Texas” located at 2337 Bissonnet Street, Houston, TX 77005
Wine will be served
Join us for a special evening to celebrate the conclusion of Natalia Filippova’s stunning textile exhibition. This is your last chance to experience her extraordinary mastery of fabric, meet the artist in person, and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine.
At the heart of the exhibition is Filippova’s extraordinary mastery of velvet and fabric as artistic media. Working across a rich spectrum of techniques — patchwork, crazy quilt, crazy collage, boro, and sashiko — she transforms cloth into layered, tactile narratives that bridge fine art, textile tradition, and personal expression. Each piece is entirely unique, infused with the artist’s vision and handmade.
Natalia Filippova is a culturologist, educator, and textile artist. Rooted in the traditions of her native Ukraine and inspired by textile arts from around the world, her practice celebrates the beauty of fabric in all its forms.
The exhibition is free and open to the public. All pieces will be available for purchase.
The gallery is open Monday to Friday 9:30 am – 3 pm, Saturday 9:30 am – 1 pm.
