Vladimir Shkred, born and raised in Kyiv, Ukraine, is an accomplished artist with an impressive background. After graduating with honors from an art school in Kyiv, he continued his artistic journey at a prestigious art institute where his professors included prominent 20th-century artists. Shkred specialized in graphic design and created a diploma project focusing on corporate identity design.
Due to the war in Ukraine, Shkred relocated to Ireland in 2022, where the emerald landscapes inspired him to paint vibrant acrylic landscapes that capture fleeting emotions. After moving to the United States, he found inspiration in floral compositions, where the interplay of light and shadow takes center stage. Shkred is also an experienced instructor in painting and drawing, passionately sharing his artistic knowledge with students.
“The Flowers of Ukraine” showcases Shkred’s remarkable floral still lifes, blending his unique artistic vision with heartfelt emotions. Each piece reflects his journey, cultural heritage, and deep connection to nature.
Don’t miss this extraordinary opportunity to immerse yourself in a visual celebration of Ukrainian beauty and resilience.
Admission to the opening reception and gallery is free.
The gallery is open Monday to Friday 9:30 am – 3 pm, Saturday 9 am – 1 pm, Sunday 10 am – 2 pm.
