MUSIC THROUGH THE AGES / OSIP NIKIFOROV, PIANO
On Saturday, August 26, at 7:00 pm, the Cultural Center “Our Texas” will host a solo concert by renowned Russian-American pianist Osip Nikiforov. The program features some of Rachmaninoff’s most famous pieces, as long as the works of Scarlatti, & Gershwin’s famous Rhapsody in Blue.
Osip Nikiforov is a distinguished pianist who has won numerous awards in national and international competitions. He studied under the tutelage of the world-renowned pianist Yefim Bronfman at Manhattan School of Music.Currently, he is a Malcolm W. Perkins Teaching Fellow in the Doctor of Musical Arts program at Rice University, studying with Jon Kimura Parker.
The concert at the Cultural Center “Our Texas” promises to be a memorable experience for lovers of classical music.
