A true artist of emotional depth and technical dazzle, Nikiforov is known for bringing lyricism and breathtaking power to the stage. This solo recital will showcase arrangements of beloved classical themes by master composers – Bach, Tchaikovsky, Mendelssohn, Schubert, and Strauss—reimagined by titans like Liszt, Horowitz, Volodos, and Nikiforov himself.
Program highlights include:
J. S. Bach / F. Busoni – Nun komm’ der Heiden Heiland
S. Rachmaninoff / A. Volodos – Italian Polka
P. I. Tchaikovsky / O. Nikiforov – Dance of the White Swan
F. Mendelssohn / F. Liszt / V. Horowitz – The Wedding March
F. Schubert / F. Liszt – Der Müller und der Bach
M. Glinka / M. Balakirev – Lark
J. Strauss / A. Schulz-Evler – Concert Arabesques on “By the Beautiful Blue Danube”
