The Homegrown New Music Ensemble is a group of musicians dedicated to creative placemaking and community partnerships. They work closely with living composers to expand the repertoire of the 21st century and have received international recognition. The concert will showcase the talents of internationally acclaimed musicians, including pianist Albina Khaliapova, cellist Eduard Teregulov, and clarinetist Tyler Webster.
The program for the evening will include “Moth Flies Into the Light” by Alfia Khabirova, “Tesla Fantasia for Cello and Piano” by Alina Akhmetova, “Romanza” by Milena Zhivotovskaya, “Waltz Noir” by Polina Nazaykinskaya, and “Mindscapes” by Daniel Black.
About the musicians:
Pianist Albina Khaliapova is a prize winner of multiple competitions in Europe and the United States and has a Master of Music degree from the University of South Florida and a Doctor of Music Arts degree in Piano Performance from Louisiana State University.
Contemporary cellist Eduard Teregulov is an award-winning soloist, chamber musician, recording artist, and educator who began his cello journey at the age of five and has a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance and Education from Ufa State Academy of Arts, as well as an M.M. from the University of South Florida and a D.M.A. in Cello Performance from Louisiana State University.
Clarinetist Tyler Webster, a native Texan, holds a Doctorate in Musical Arts and Arist Diploma from the University of Texas at Austin, M.M. from Northwestern, and B.M. from Texas Tech University.
